             abstract = "The watershed is a unit indicated as being essential for planning 
                         and territorial development. It involves physical, biological and 
                         socioeconomic variables that can be analyzed, studied and 
                         monitored through the use of geotechnology tools that integrate 
                         attributes favor an expansion of programs aimed at sustainable 
                         development. The study area is located in the town of Altonia, the 
                         boundaries of the National Park and Environmental Protection Area 
                         of Ilha Grande, which makes up a core zone of the Reserve of the 
                         Atlantic Forest Biosphere. This study aims to analyze how 
                         morphological characteristics of the Prado Basin Ribeir{\~a}o 
                         through MDE SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission), provided by 
                         the USGS (United States Geological Survey). The methodology 
                         applied in this study cant be used in open source geoprocessing, 
                         or Quantum GIS to extract physical values such as area, perimeter, 
                         average width of the basin, stroke length of water main, among 
                         others. These values are related to the morphometric parameters 
                         and interpret the hydrological behavior of the basin. From 61.4 
                         square kilometers and its format, coupled with the low risk of 
                         flooding. Its relevance is characterized by a wavy plane, with 
                         variants of 400 meters to 240 meters in the lower level, 
                         indicating moderate susceptibility to erosion.",
